| BERLIN VOM BERGLAND, 110 NA I, 195 UT II |
| The single most definitive description of Berlin is desire. Her strong prey drive is coupled with a staunch point and willingness to please. In the grouse woods, she is known for thundering through the brush, never letting anything stand in her way. At 16 weeks her retrieving instinct kicked in and she began retrieving bumpers to hand as far as they could be thrown. At 5 months I introduced her to water in one session and she has never looked back since. She is a natural hunting dog which has produced an abundance of birds. Her Utility training progressed quicker than expected and she received a 195 pt, UT II at 24 months. We missed a Prize I by a mere point on her first test! Her field searches and duck searches are nothing short of phenomenal. She has produced ringneck pheasants, chukkar, ruffed grouse, hungarian partridge and bobwhite quail. In March, 2006 both she and I received a personal invitation to train with George Hickox at the famed Buckeye Plantation in Georgia. During the week, she pointed approximately 500 wild bobwhite quail! Berlin is a granddaughter of CH Stradivarius Maximilien, and KS Kurzhaar's Rugar V Haven. She is a dual great granddaughter of DC Hillhaven's Hustler. Her five generation pedigree includes 9 KS (german) champions, 7 Dual Champions and 9 Champions / Int. Champions. Among these are Int. CH/KS Kristan Vom Poettsiepen, NSDC Chicoree Hickory Doc, and DC Kurzhaar's Rugar V Haven. |

| MOUNTAIN GROUSE'S BLACK PEARL (JACK) |
| Jack is the newest addition to our family. AKC just recently began to recognize black shorthairs. Additionally, very few shorhairs are white, making Jack quite unique! He was bred by Spring Ridge Kennels which is owned by Will Henry of Meadowview, VA. Jack's Dam is Wind River's Sage, who absolutely impressed me with her calm, friendly demeanor. Not only is Sage an excellent hunter and family member, she also pulls Will on a wheeled sled iditarod style. Sage is out of Snips Cajun Cody SH (www.walnuthillsgsps.us) and Wind River's Tag You're It JH (www.windrivers-gsp.com). Sage also has numerous show champions in her pedigree as well. Jack's Sire is Autumn Breeze's Rocky II, bred by Ed Erickson of Autumn Breeze Kennel in Minnesota (www.abkvc.com). Rocky earned a Prize I Natural Ability title, and a Prize I Utility title when he was 2-years, 5-months of age with a maximum score of 204. Rocky is out of Int CH VC Sharp Shooters Prairie Dancer MH (Tango), and VC Tall Oak's Amazin Angel. Rocky's siblings have also scored very well in NAVHDA with several Prize I and Prize II Utility titles. |

| MAXIMUS VOM BERGLAND, 110 NA I |
| Max is a special dog. His physical confirmation makes him a stunning dog to observe in the field. Both his pointing and retrieving instincts are exceptional. At 12 months Max was steady to wing and retrieved to hand. He has already conducted duck retrieves and has consistently shown the natural ability to be a prized Utility dog. Due to his exceptional natural abilities, I decided to have him evaluated by running him in a NAVHDA Natural Ability Test. He received a 110 pt, Prize I at 13 months! His only deduction was a single point from the pheasant track in a roaring downpour! He received perfect scores in Pointing, Field Search, Desire to Work, Water, and Cooperation! Max's five generation pedigree includes dual champions, multiple show champions and multiple master hunters. His breeding has a strong influence from the Pottsiepen line, as he is the grandson of Bjorn vom Jaegermeister , call name Bailey (D1, S1, VGP2, Vbr, V1, HD FRei). Max's sire is line bred Dual Champion, AFC, Stradivarius Baroque. Max now resides with a nice family in North Carolina. |
